Slender Man

The Slender Man is a fictional being created by Something Awful Forums. The traditional descriptions of Slender Man are: extremely tall (7-8 feet), super thin, black or dark grey suit, red or black tie, branch/tentacle-like appendages protruding through his back, no face, completely white, and able to stretch his limbs to exraordinary lengths.

SLENDER MAN:

The Slender Man is known for kidnapping people. These people are either never seen again, or found impaled on a high tree branch with their organs put into unknown bags and replaced in their original places inside the body. Most cases are children or teenagers, but adults are rarely taken. Many speculate that the adults taken are people who "escaped" as children.

SLENDER MAN NEAR CHILDREN:

Many people describe a symbol that has been found near or drawn by those taken by Slender Man. This symbol is usually called the "Operator Symbol" and consists of a circle with an X drawn through it. This symbol is seen mainly where Slender Man has been, whether drawn by someone afflicted by him, or drawn by a Proxy (next blog, people!) to mark that they live there and Slender Man has influence in their lives. Most speculate that the more Operator symbols drawn in one place, the more influence Slender Man has over that place; the more a person draws it, the more influence over that person Slender Man has. Several reports say that the more influence over a person Slender Man has, the closer he gets.

OPERATOR SYMBOL:

Many people have caught Slender Man on their Camera, whether on video or picture. There are old photos with Slender Man in them, up to the ones from this current year. As said about slender Man mostly targeting children, most of the photos are of children.

SLENDER MAN RIGHT TOP CORNER:

Several people who claim to have seen or been attacked by Slender Man report a "slender sickness" whenever he is near. This sickness causes several symptoms, including: Nighmares about him, Migraine headaches, nausea, coughing fits that last long periods of time, sightings of him, paranoia, coughing up blood, and memory loss. (missing chunks of time such as days, weeks, and months is the memory loss expected with slender sickness.)

The Rake Myth

The Rake is a humanoid that that sparked media interst in 2003, before a blackout was initiated and most evidence destroyed. There was very little information left intact, and what was left intact, was myseriously destroyed. However, there is evidence from the past that was overlooked and still exists today. In rural New York state, some eyewitnesses and victims came forth about a creature of unknown origin and species. They described it as an anorexic looking humanoid with sunken-in eyes, and razor sharp nails.

THE RAKE:
Many people's emotions ranged from being curious about the humanoid, to being terrified of it. Many of their published records (such as blogs, diaries, journals, E-Mails, etc) were mysteriously destroyed. Though these records are gon, nothing could erase those events from their memory.  Several people began a search to find The Rake, being family, friends, or loved ones trying to help.

THE RAKE:

Early in 2006, several documents from the 12th century to that present day, were found. On four different continents, almost all the sories were identical in detail.   "It’s body position was disturbing and unnatural, as if it had been hit by a car..." It is said there are seven rules about The Rake, but they are unlocatable at this time.

Introduction

Why do people believe these things? Is there a reason behind the beliefs? Many people ask this question every day, and most go unanswered. Some people say that they are just curious, and don't really believe, and some people come right out with it.

THE RAKE

While it may be true that they are only curious, maybe they would believe later on or dismiss it as "bogus material" that people use only for entertainment. Topics such as: Slender Man, the Rake, Unicorns, Mermaids, and the Seedeater are just a few to name, but there are hundreds more that I could list.

SEED EATER

There will be more blog posts about this topic, and about individual myths and legends. I will do creepypasta, and other various things. it's up to you.

MERMAID:

There will be some things I will say no to, but I will have a reason. If you feel I should post about it, try and persuade me, but do not try and force me to do it. Thank you for reading.

UNICORN:
